Anita Saarkessian

Anita Sarkeesian has been a Canadian and American feminist media critic for more than 20 years. She's also an accomplished public speaking. She founded Feminist Frequency the website which includes videos and comments on depictions of women's roles in popular culture. Anita Sarkeesian a Canadian American media critic. As well as working to bring awareness to the targeted and sexist attack on women and other minorities in online spaces she is committed to breaking down the stigmas and stereotypes associated with popular culture. Sarkeesian holds a bachelor's degree in social thought and politics from York University. She is an extremely well-respected and respected public presenter. Sarkeesian gave speeches to the TEDxWomen XOXO Festival and United Nations Broadband Working Group. Passionate about issues of gender identities and feminisms from at an early age, she created her site Feminist Frequency in the year 2009 when she was studying at the university. In 2009, the ebullient young woman was targeted online for launching a website that focused on the gender of videogames. The attack did be a deterrent, but it made her more determined as a feminist critic of media. Her many notable contributions in the feminist field have been recognized by numerous prizes. Anita Sarkeesian has been a journalist for a long time and was the creator of Feminist Frequency. This non-profit educational organization studies women's roles in the pop-culture narratives.
