Sofia Pernas is a Moroccan actress born and brought up within Orange County. At the age of 5, she moved from Morocco to California. She received her graduation from the University of California, San Diego in 2015 which is when she also got her first big break as an actor. Pernas was a popular actress who made brief appearances on NCIS as well as Leverage before landing the part of Marisa in The Young and the Restless and was an established character on the soap. She landed the role Catalina as Catalina in Jane the Virgin after she was let go of the soap. The actress speaks four languages. She's since been seen as Catalina in The Brave with Hannah Rivera in addition to The Green Ghost and Secret Society of Second Born Royals.
