Sofia Pernas was born in Morocco. She came to California when she was five. She was raised mainly in Orange County. Her biggest break occurred in 2015. She graduated in 2015 with a a degree from University of California San Diego. Following a few appearances on NCIS as well as Leverage Pernas was offered the role in the role of Marisa Sierras on The Young and the Restless. Following her departure from the soap-opera in 2016, the actress landed the role of a regular on Jane the Virgin as Catalina. The model speaks four different languages and has since appeared in The Brave with Hannah Rivera as well as The Green Ghost and Secret Society of Second Born Royals.
